Schwerpunkte
Its main scientific interest is basic research on particle-water interaction in both natural and anthropogenic environments. Particular emphasis is on microscale process studies of contaminant retardation and immobilisation in sediments, contaminated soil or waste material, and atmospheric aerosols (including ice particles). Synchrotron radiation is the main analytical tool including microtomography and XAFS. Main emphasis is not only gathering of big data sets for descriptive mapping, but use of the data for advanced geochemical and lattice Boltzmann equation modeling.Kontakt:
